“Servant leadership is the core value that speaks the most to me. Years ago, Michael [Ellenhorn] and I were having a conversation and he told me I should never be too good to take out the trash. That, to me, is servant leadership: if I am going to ask you to take out the trash, I’m going to take out the trash.”
Lara is responsible for not only overseeing the company’s finances, but also Decipher’s day-to-day operations. She is a point of contact for Decipher’s contract structure, invoices and any payment-related inquiries.
In addition, Lara fills the role of hiring manager and HR contact as well as facilities manager and manages any vendor relationships.
She was recognized in 2023 among St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 for guiding the company to revenue growth and helping build a positive culture.
